Phase 1: Weeks 0โ€“1 โ€“ Admin & Teacher Setup

๐Ÿ”น Create your admin account

  • Go through the onboarding as an educator or administrator.

    • If your account was already created and you want to start over, you can delete your account by going to Preferences (Gear icon bottom left) > Account Management > Delete Icon and Delete Account and start over by logging in again.

๐Ÿ”น Prepare Google Classroom for all teachers

Studyo Go relies on Google Classroom as a roster of your teachers, classes and students. Ideally, before inviting teachers and students, all Classes should already be ready in Google Classroom.

Ask teachers to create all appropriate Classes in Google Classroom, creating one classroom per section (i,.e. if John teaches Math to 2 sections of 7th graders, he should have one Classroom for Math 7th grade - Section 1 and another for Section 2,

You do not need to import all students in classroom yet, but wait until they are added to Classroom before inviting students to connect to Studyo Go to avoid confusion.

๐Ÿ”น (Optional) Have your Google Administrator connect Studyo Go to Classroom

If you are the Google administrator or if you can invite them as a Studyo Go administrator as described below, having them connect Google Classroom to Studyo Go will connect all your users and avoid extra work for teachers.

If there are any issues connecting Studyo Go to Google Classroom, please read the following article or forward it to your IT team.

๐Ÿ”น Provide teachers with an overview

Provide your teachers with a heads-up on what Studyo Go is and your plans to implement it to help your students get organized.

  • Here is an email template you can use which also contains a link to an overview video they should go through before onboarding.

๐Ÿ”น Invite teachers

As the first educator in your new school, you become the administrator and can invite teachers to be part of your school.

๐Ÿ”น Invite others to help administer the platform if needed

  • In order to delegate some administrative tasks, such as inviting teachers and setting-up schedules, you can invite one of the invited teachers above to become an administrator as well.

๐Ÿ”น Book your product training session

The training session covers the first two in-class activities teachers should have students do.

๐Ÿ”น Monitor teacher onboarding

As seen in the videos above, you can monitor which teachers have connected to Studyo Go by going to: Preferences > Schools > Click the pencil icon next to your school > Click Teachers

Teachers with blue icons before their name have connected. You can send reminders to connect next to each teacher's name on the right.

๐Ÿ”น Hold product training session
