This guide will walk you through the technology requirements necessary to deploy and run Studyo Go in your school district. Studyo Go is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that offers web, iOS, and Android applications.

General Requirements

Studyo Go does not require any server setup on your premises. All you need is internet access and compliance with the following technical specifications:

Web Application

The Studyo Go web app requires a modern browser. We recommend using:

  • Google Chrome (latest version)

  • Microsoft Edge (latest version)

  • Safari (latest version)

iOS Application

The Studyo Go iOS app requires iOS 15.0 or later.

Android Application

The Studyo Go Android app requires Android 5.1 (Lollipop) or later.

Authentication

Studyo Go supports authentication via:

  • Google accounts

  • Microsoft accounts

  • Apple accounts

Ensure that users have access to one of these account types for authentication purposes.

Network and Domain Access

For Studyo Go to function correctly, the following domains must be accessible:

  • go.studyo.app

  • grpc.studyo.today

Ensure these domains are not blocked by your network firewall or content filtering systems.

Google Workspace Integration

If your organization uses Google Workspace, the Studyo Go web app must be allowed within your Google Workspace organization. Follow these steps to install it:

  1. Click "Admin Install" and follow the prompts for domain-wide installation.

Google Education

Users designated as under 18 years old won't be able to access third-party apps you haven't confirmed as permitted. You can learn more about this here:

Google API Access

Studyo Go integrates with Google Classroom, Google Calendar and Google Drive. The following API access permissions (scopes) must be granted depending on each user's role and the features enabled in Studyo Go:

Google Classroom API Scopes

  • classroom.courses.readonly

  • classroom.student-submissions.me.readonly

  • classroom.announcements.readonly

  • classroom.courseworkmaterials.readonly

  • classroom.profile.emails

  • classroom.profile.photos

Google Calendar API Scopes

  • calendar.readonly

  • calendar.events.readonly

Google Drive API Scope

  • drive.readonly

Ensure that users are entitled to authorize these scopes to allow full functionality of Studyo Go.

Google Classroom API Access

Make sure users can authorize apps to access their Google Classroom data:
